i think a lot about the malefics in a day chart versus a night chart... because they weren't given to a sect that they're comfortable in.

rather, the malefics are actually stronger - to the point of excess - when they're out of sect.
in a day chart, when you're exerting energy to create something or make something go the way you want it to, you run into blockages. something keeps you from using your mars to intentionally create or act in your own interests, and you risk burnout.

over-exertion is an issue.
you learn that, to reach your goals, you need to put in a little bit of effort over a long period of time. you need to use your saturn to work diligently on a project, heeding delays and being mindful of those around you, and it will come together in its own time.
in a night chart, you find that things you thought were stable or safe will collapse around you. when you rely on your saturn to create lasting structures in your life, you find that constant instability or insecurity delays your own ambitions.

over-reliance is an issue.
you learn how to (re)act quickly to create some sense of safety and agency, despite your circumstances. you need to use your mars to build while in motion, trusting your senses and intuition to guide you in creating structures that work for you.
keep in mind that your personal placement of the malefics can change the story drastically! my out of sect malefic is fallen, while my in sect malefic is bonified, so my chart only exaggerates the core ideas of sect. if you have the opposite, your experience won't be so clear-cut
