Halloween is a time that means an awful lot to monster kids. It’s a day when we can celebrate our weirdness, our dark side, and our fears without feeling quite so alone. But, like so many other important dates in 2020, many of us will find ourselves alone for it. <1/4>
If you’re handling a lonely Halloween better than your peers, consider reaching out to those who might not be as stable as you are. After all, the horror and sci-fi scenes have always been known for taking in outsiders. We watch out for our own. <2/4>
Not having an annual community event that embraces and celebrates our dark side can be crushing for people, and there’s absolutely no telling who those folks are or how a lonely night might affect them. <3/4>
This Halloween, consider taking the time to reach out to your friends in the horror community and letting them know we’re all doing our best.

And if you’re hurting over the loss of our favorite holiday, our DMs are always open. We’ll do all we can to light your pumpkin. 🎃 <4/4>
