Starting my #AudioDramaSunday thread early this week because Halloween is tomorrow, so there's just enough time to get some themed listening in that I want to shout out!
@palimpsestpod has a wonderfully evocative Halloween episode called Home Again, Home Again that would be perfect for a morning walk through the foliage. Few shows do pure Mood better than Palimpsest and it would be a perfect way to start your Halloween morning.
@CalliopicProd's We Know None is off to a great start with an excellent framing device, vivid characters, an intriguing mystery, and solid episodic horror setups--fans of Alice Isn't Dead and Believer should def jump on this one!
Got all caught up on @HauntNowPod and I gotta say, 1) yet again, LOVE this narrator!, 2) there's a ghostly moment in episode 3 that legit had me looking over my shoulder because I thought it was coming from my room and it GOT ME.
The first thing I listened to this week were the two final episodes of @HearCircles, and I loved how they wrapped up the show! This will DEFINITELY hold up to relistening so don't waste time on getting to your first time through for those good Scooby Doo/IT/Buffy vibes!
I've already gushed about @DeathbyDyingPod's new addition so truly just trust me on this and RUN to your podcatcher--the storytelling is excellent in every way. Oh, and because I almost missed it, stick through the credits--I had an audible reaction of pure exhilaration.
@IncarnationRead drops their first episode tomorrow but for now you can go check out their trailer to get psyched! It's definitely going to be a listen-at-night-in-the-dark show.
@ArdenPod's Halloween episode is ambitious, fun, and so tonally specific. I LOVE the central idea so much I made an audible sound of excitement when I saw the initial announcement and it delivered 100%.
I also just finished the @BelieverPod Halloween episode and HIGHLY recommend to existing fans and newcomers--it's a prequel episode that is super ambitious and spooky and stands on its own incredibly well, while also richly expanding the world of its characters.
@Hannahpoctical sounds SO fun! Honestly any piece of media billing itself as horror-comedy has me from jump, but their trailer also features a really fun narrator, super evocative music, and a great setup.
Gonna update this with more shows as I work my way through my own Halloween listening. I've been away camping for a bit and came back to SO much exciting content! 🎃
