My theory: we will not get pre-orders for the standard edition, they will be released after November 20th. Why? So we can stay #1 on the BB200 for several weeks and have LONGEVITY. BTS has shifted from the kpop mentality shifting from the kpop mentality, it is time for us to do
the same.
What do we say to kpoppies about Korean charts? That it's longevity that matters, it is time for us to make that shift for charting all around the world. Having a long pre-order period is a kpop thing, western artists announce new releases maybe a couple weeks at
maximum before a drop, it keeps people on their toes and excited. Learn and adapt.
What do we get criticized for in our US charting? Having a super high debut and an immediate freefall, we have already started shifting with Dynamite not only debuting at #1 but staying top two for
almost two months and still being top 10. Now is our time to do this with an album and a Korean single. Our goal should not be only for a high preorder number and debut, but keeping those sales high for several weeks. I know it's hard to believe that we will get label support
after being fvcked over time and time again, but we need to have trust in CR because there's been a clear shift. They haven't done anything to disappoint with Dynamite, they have been fighting for radio play and the results make that clear, they will not less us down now.
We need to focus on the things we can control which is saving money for comeback (ie donating to funding accounts), spreading info on how to stream correctly, and promoting BE to locals. We need to let go of the things we can't control, CR will take care of that, and improving
the things we actually can. This does not mean being complacent!!
