Why the Hunter Biden allegations are bogus. A thread:
Let's look at the main sources: 1. the hard drive, 2. the Cooney emails, 3. Bobulinski's records and his interview with Tucker Carlson, 4. Joe Biden's Atlanta speech, 5. public and private statements from the FBI and DOJ
The hard drive contains two supposed "bombshells" not seen elsewhere. Let's assume for a moment that these are authentic. The first one is a sole email from someone at Burisma thanking Hunter for "the opportunity to meet your father."
Obviously, this does not even imply the existence of an actual meeting beyond anything cursory, let alone an actual conspiracy of corruption. It does not in any way contradict Joe Biden's assertions that he never discussed business with his son.
It's unsurprising that this email, therefore, has more or less completely disappeared from the MAGAverse narrative on this subject over the last two weeks.
The second is an audio where Hunter tells someone about working with the "spy chief of China." It's unclear why he refers to Patrick Ho this way, but his connections with Patrick Ho and Ye Jianming were legal and have been publicly known for years.
This email was evidently obtained by the National Pulse. It's unclear where it's from but I think it might be from the Cooney collection:
In it, he describes doing the Mexican businessman Miguel Magnani a favor by bringing his friends to the White House, VP Residence and the inauguration. Conservative outlets are falsely claiming, without evidence, that this shows Hunter Biden "set up meetings."
In reality, all this email shows is that Hunter Biden brought his business associates to fancy events like the inauguration and may have shown them around the VP Residence/WH. This is more or less consistent with what we know of Hunter, who seems to have used his father as clout
Moving on to Bobulinski: the SinoHawk deal 1. never came to fruition and 2. happened in 2017 when Joe Biden was not Vice President.
Bobulinski claims that Joe Biden was involved based on an email (also in the hard drive) where James Gilliar suggests compensation and includes a line "10% held by H for the big guy" followed by a question mark. Let's take Bobulinski's word that "the big guy" is Joe Biden.
Let's pause for a moment and note that if this deal materialized (it didn't) and Joe Biden became involved (he didn't), this would have been perfectly legal, as he was not in office.
But James Gilliar has said Joe Biden was not involved in the deal. And the newsrooms of both Fox News and the WSJ examined Bobulinski's records and found no involvement for Joe Biden
It's possible that Hunter Biden may have thrown around his father's name and even suggested his involvement to Gilliar, Bobulinski and George Walker, but there's no indication Joe Biden even knew about this...
Indeed, a few days later, Hunter writes to Bobulinski, stating that "my chairman" gave an "emphatic no." If "my chairman" indeed refers to Joe, as Bobulinski alleges, this seems to show that Joe Biden turned down the deal when Hunter brought it up to him.
It's impossible to know for sure, because news outlets have only shown us a few of these texts without any context.
In his interview with Tucker Carlson, Tony Bobulinski describes meeting with Joe Biden. He describes what they talk about, and at no point does he mention any business being brought up
We'll come back to Bobulinski himself, in a bit, but now to address Joe Biden "bragging on tape that he got the Ukrainian Prosecutor General fired." Yes. This obviously happened:
Why? Because the entire international community wanted him gone for corruption and ineffectiveness. This 2016 letter was signed by US Senate Republicans urging Ukraine to reform the Prosecutor General office just days before: https://www.portman.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/portman-durbin-shaheen-and-senate-ukraine-caucus-reaffirm-commitment-help
Meanwhile, this report shows video interviews with the Ukrainians who wanted Shokin removed from office due to corruption:
The Republican-led senate investigation of this matter showed no wrongdoing by Joe Biden and officials testified under oath that firing Viktor Shokin (who was not investigating Burisma at the time) made Burisma MORE likely to face scrutiny.
Finally, here's what anonymous sources from the FBI have told news outlets:

1. sources told Fox that they have the laptop that purportedly belonged to Hunter Biden

2. some have described the emails on them as real. But no one has verified that the laptop belonged to Hunter
3. a source told Sinclair news that Hunter Biden has been under investigation for a money laundering scheme since 2019, but no other details from this have been reported and not a single other news source has confirmed this
4. sources also told news outlets that the laptop has been the subject of an investigation into a possible foreign influence campaign
Alright, I'll get into the credibility of all of these sources on another thread
