Sometimes I just want to make a video series where I give indie solutions to common DnD problems with advice like:
*Talk to your players ahead of time
*Your players are your friends
*These mechanical issues can be fixed by changing the mechanics
Generic DnD advice relies on a very specific way of playing, but has become gospel because it's been passed down so many times so now people don't realize that if they change their game structurt they also need to change what advice they follow, by Brandon Leon-Gambetta

Tiktok DMs: UGH, I wasted so much time prepping that game because my players just wanted something else

Me: DIES IS REBORN AND DIES AGAIN
GMs: I wish I weren't the permanent GM, I never get to play!
