When you watch smtm, idol rappers who come (such as Bobby, Changbin, etc.) are expected to come out of their comfort zone.
It was clear that Changbin didnt do it.
Versatility is something they place emphasis on, especially when you can already rap well.

For people complaining about this, try watching other stages of idol rappers that came on smtm such as Bobby, Mino, Zico (producer), Hanbin, Vernon, etc.
The reason why Bobby and Mino is in the finals is because their stages are unique and out of their comfort zone.

As you would know mnet would evil edit, I am sure the producer gives him the same amount of time as the rest. Just because you see 15s of the clip doesn't mean he only raps for 15s. There is 84 ppl there.

They clearly are not gg to add 84 ppl's rap if they are not interesting.
The fact that stays try to attack others who states facts and yet universe didnt is just making all the stays look bad.

Yes, you may argue. 60s stage vs a 4min long stage. But even in the 60s stage, he is not doing the normal fast rap like most idols do. (generally)

Yes, there are more skilled rappers now but ofc the show standards will increase as well.

Mino's 60s stage show the producers that he is versatile. Being able to play with the beat and rap fast and slow as he desire.

Part of the reason why some rappers are chosen is because they have stories to tell that will touch the audience.
All these play a part in being chosen. It is not only about rapping good.

It is not easy to do all these in 60s, I agree but the producer is looking for people they can work with and is a good rapper.
I am not discrediting Changbin. He is a good rapper from what I listened to in smtm so far but he lacks everything stated above.
Hence, he failed.
