I'm being scammed by a premium rate text sender. It's one that has already caught out numerous other O2 customers (Google it!). I am 100.00% sure I didn't sign up to receive texts from them, yet I am being charged ÂŁ3.50 every time the scammer sends them. Why does @O2 allow this?!
Note: if you check Twitter, you'll find plenty of people getting fobbed off by O2 support claiming that they must have signed up for something, because it is impossible to receive these sorts of texts otherwise.

That is categorically not true.
They come in batches over the space of a few minutes, like the below.

Even if you don't click the link or anything, your O2 account gets debited.

It's a "known known" yet O2 have never fixed the problem.
Important: blocking the sender doesn't stop the charges. It just stops you seeing the texts.
