Those who campaign for the decriminalisation of commercial sexual exploitation need to know that in practise it means the state giving a thumbs up to pimps. The Nordic model is effectively an “end demand”model which supports women and NEVER criminalises them. So a woman who is violently attacked by a punter in Sweden can pick up phone and report them without fear And it reduces demand by educating men. @nordicmodelnow

Reducing demand is key to building a society that is built on respect for women - not men’s sexual rights. And let’s remember that women rarely if ever buy sex. Women do not kill and torture men who sell them sex. Let’s not kid ourselves that decriminalising exploitation is about equality. It’s about blokes’ “needs”. And feminism is NEVER about putting men’s needs first
