4/7 In 2018, Chris Williamson brought his deselection roadshow to Liverpool. In a packed meeting there were MPs, councillors, party officials and dozens of members. A man in the audience stood up and declared “foot soldiers of Israel are stealing our democracy”…

5/7 Not only was he not challenged on his baseless assertion, many in the room stood up, clapping and cheering. You could argue only one person in the room said something offensive. But it was the acceptance from the rest that exposed the deep cultural issue on the left…

7/7 It’s tempting to think #LabourAntisemitism ends with the @EHRC. It doesn’t. The hard left’s hatred of Jews stretches back to Karl Marx. It is deep-seated and based on dark conspiracy theories about secret cabals. The report is a significant victory, but the war is not over.
