I hope you would like a thread on conservative Christian views of sex as it relates to DST.

Because here it is.
I went to a small liberal arts college that used to be affiliated with the North Carolina Baptist State Convention.
(As an aside, The Southern Baptist Convention has a very different authority structure from many other denominations and Christian faiths. Remind me to do a thread on that one day.)
Most of these schools were founded many miles from nearby cities.

Leading to the joke: “We are located 20 miles from the nearest sin."
Above all else, if you haven& #39;t noticed, evangelical Christians have determined that sex is the worst of all sins.

Who you have sex with, if you have sex, what you do if you get pregnant from the evil sex, who should be allowed to have sex…etc.
These schools did not have co-ed dorms, and further more determined that certain hours of the day were off limits for visitors of the opposite sex.
Especially in the 90s and before the idea of someone who might be LGBTQ attending one of these schools was laughable to those in charge.

“No way someone like that would come to this school.”
My brother’s school did not allow opposite sex visitors at all when he started college. (They did not even have cable television in 2002 when he started college.)
My school did have cable and allowed co-ed “Visitation” (We called it “Visitation” so, I’ll refer to it like that for this thread.)
Our visitation rules were as follows:

Sunday-Thursday: 12pm - 12am
Friday - Saturday: 12pm - 2am

(Remember these were opposite sex visitation rules. My gay friends laughed and laughed as we walked our girlfriends out at 2am on Friday nights.)
