Started vs Atletico Madrid in a 2-2 draw(30-06-2020). Played 90 minutes. 7.2 SofaScore rating but he bossed the match. Don’t know why a 7.2 but if you saw the match, he deserved more than 8.5. Solid performance.

Played 30 minutes vs Villarreal in a 4-1 win(05-07-2020). 7.1 SofaScore rating. Deserved a 7.5 but still a good performance in this match too.

Started vs Real Valladolid in a 1-0 win(11-07-2020). Played 57 minutes. 6.7 SofaScore rating. He shone in this match too. Energetic till he was on the pitch, the team became dull when he was subbed off.

Started vs Osasuna in a 1-2 loss(16-07-2020). Played 79 minutes. 6.9 SofaScore rating. Brought rhythm to team from the start, which wasn’t present after he was subbed off.

Started vs Alaves in a 5-0 win. Played 90 minutes. Got 2 assists. Created 3 big chances, most created by someone not named Messi since 2018.

It’s sad that the fans forgot all he did just because he hasn’t played for a long time. They tend to say that we have better player than him this season while the truth is Puig has only played 10 minutes this season. You can’t expect him to prove he is better in 10 minutes.

Although we have really good players in midfield, Puig deserves a chance to prove himself. He is ready to be a starter but if Koeman can’t do that, I can’t see why he isn’t a rotation player. Hope Koeman sees light and understands the importance of Puig.

And we all know there is more to match than just ratings, he absolutely bossed the midfield in nearly every match. It’s sad to see what is happening to him.
