When Jan Sangh supporters protested / gave opinions against Indira Gandhi, and were jailed, beaten, tortured, they didn't get discouraged because those they supported didn't / couldn't rescue them. They did so out of their OWN conviction & moral fibre, prepared for consequences.

If support to a party - BJP for eg - is voluntary, unpaid & not as a karyakarta, it should be because you're passionate about BJP, its cause, not because BJP must promise you protection. If a fascist like UT dissuades you from supporting BJP, there wasn't passion in your support.

It's about time those willingly & voluntarily supporting BJP realize that they have agency. Their actions, good, bad, ugly, may have consequences in a volatile political atmosphere. Support does NOT have to be aggressive or offensive. For eg, spread the good work Modi & BJP do.
