Suppressing Black voters was a huge part of Russia’s strategy (and Bannon’s) to elect Trump in 2016.

And by “voter suppression”, I don’t mean the usual GOP tactics. I’m referring to things like I wrote about in that paragraph — basically, Russia tried to exploit legitimate grievances in an effort to convince Black voters to disengage from politics entirely.

And now is the part where I subtly point out that this hasn’t stopped, and also refer you to some awesome researchers/activists/experts like @Blackamazon, who was among those to discover these influence ops in the first place.
