4 years ago when my Great-grandmother passed away my life CHANGED DRASTICALLY...

The connection we shared was DEEP and inexplicable (to some). My birthday is June 17 and hers June 18. The ONLY GEMinis on my mom& #39;s side of the family!

So just imagine the closeness of our two souls...

That& #39;s why when she died, IT HURT BAD! I felt like she was the ONLY person who truly understood me.

Many didn& #39;t even know I was grieving so I suffered in silence.
School and basketball were the only two things that kept me going at the time.

Ironically, 1 year and 1 month(ish) after my Great-grandmother passed, I finished school and graduated with my B.S. in Environmental Studies on her birthday JUNE 18, 2017!

After I graduated is when the healing process got REALer... I was forced to deal with those deep emotions that I tried to suppress by keeping myself "busy".

During that time I was awaken to new levels of strength, confidence, trust, courage and resilience within myself..

Tbh it wasn& #39;t until earlier this year that I fully accepted and found PEACE with her not being here...

The way all of those events played out reassured me:
1.God is REAL
2.Healing is NOT linear.
3.EVERYTHING indeed HAPPENS FOR A REASON!
