We asked the Province for data and it was released yesterday. The data gathered since Aug 1 showed substantial variations in sources of outbreak across the province. In Ottawa, Restaurants, Bars & Clubs made up 2% of the outbreak sources.

The data shows that at 2%, Restaurants, Clubs & Bars are not a major source of infection in Ottawa. Gyms & Sports (including teams) made up 5% of the outbreak sources. OCOBIA has been working with @ottawahealth and @ottawacity to find safe ways to reopen.

We hope that the Province and @fordnation will work with our local businesses to reopen safely using safety measures advised by @VeraEtches and @ottawahealth, and to adopt a future strategy to close the source, not the industry. @JimWatsonOttawa @Eli_ElChantiry
