What happening with Sameet Thakkar happened to me too when i have tweeted a sarcastic tweet against an lslamist naagin and she filed FIR against me, made that global topic and my tweet had been quoted internationally.
I got out of it because of a police officer of my caste.

I have DMed BJP leaders, contacted my local MP and asked for help. But do you know what he replied? He told me, when did BJP/he asked for my support. Ab jaisa kiya hai vaisa bharo, kyu bade logo se ulajhte ho was his words.
I was so helpless at that time, police was at my house.

But i got out of it easily, not because of BJP or it's leaders but by a party whom i don't support.
A BSP MLA and a police officer of my caste helped me to get out of that case safely.
No Matter how much you support BJP, it's not coming to help you. So be realistic while tweeting

So even being anonymous don't guarantee you safety from opposition even when BJP is in power in the state. The police machinery is heavily dominated by Seculars and your BJP leaders won't help you.
Even Fadanvis promoted Parambir who tortured Pragya thakur in jail. Think about it

Protip : Use Twitter for fun, or Dharma or as news medium or for money making by promotions. Never do political activism if you don't have political connections.
Because BJP won't help you in such cases, it don't care for it's cadres lives in West Bengal, they who you are?
