In this thread, I will explain, how true and possible affiliate marketing on Twitter is, and how you can benefit from it.

What is affiliate marketing?

When you promote other people’s products on your blog, social media… and earn a commission from each sale, It’s called affiliate marketing.

There are three sides to an affiliate marketing equation!

1. The creator
2. The affiliate
3. The customer

1. The creator

If you have a product and you want to sell more, you can offer promoters a commission through an affiliate program.

2. The affiliate

If you have no product but want to make money, you can promote a VALUABLE product and earn an income by affiliate marketing.

3. The customer

The customer buys a valuable product which he/she needs and makes the affiliate system work.

Without sales, there isn’t any revenue to be shared.

Be aware that if a customer buys a product through an affiliate, it DOESN'T MEAN they are paying more than what they should. Read the next tweet for an example.

Suppose you buy @Lifemathmoney’s book on how to make money on Twitter.

The price is 40$.

If you buy it by my link, a percentage of the 40$(say30$) will be mine, and the rest(10$) goes to LMM.

If you buy it from LMM’s link, all 40$ will go to his account.

So in all cases, the customer pays THE SAME amount of money and won't be charged more through an affiliate link.

Now, you understand how affiliates help creators sell more products and customers to find the right product and fulfill their needs.

Here are some benefits of affiliate marketing:

It’s easy: your job is handling the “marketing”.

You don’t have to worry about harder tasks, like developing, supporting, or fulfilling the offer.

It’s low risk: There’s no cost to be an affiliate.

You can start making money without any upfront investment.

And it can generate PASSIVE income

It’s scaling: you can scale your earning without hiring extra help.

You can introduce new products to your audience while your existing work continues to make money for you.

Be Honest

You need to be honest with your customers. You’re here to help them, so do your job without any tricks!

Choose a product that helps

It’s essential that what you’re offering to people can help them with their problems.

So before starting to sell, make sure the product works and has some values to give.

In other words, don’t sell shit!

Don’t try to sell, try to help

Your main focus needs to be helping people. Even for free!

You have to be a trustworthy person, Don’t worry sales will come.

People will buy stuff from the people who they like.

Gather some audience

Remember the sides of the equation!

You must sell products to “people.” So you must find these people who are ready to buy.

Step : Email the creator and ask for a unique aff link

Step : Promote the product on your Twitter account

Step : Collect the commission anytime someone uses your link to make a purchase
