One of my favorite browsers hack is to use the .new domain in the address bar to jump straight into the action.
http://cal.new -> creates a new Google Calendar Event
No need to visit the app, find the right menu, and then start an activity.

The .new is owned by Google so naturally, they have all their services on it.
http://doc.new - GDoc
http://sheet.new - GSheet
http://slide.new - GSlide
http://meet.new - Google Meet
Sadly, http://mail.new is only for Google Employees

Even Microsoft is catching up. They have .new domains for creating new actions on Microsoft tools
http://word.new - MS Word
http://excel.new - MS Excel
http://onenote.new - MS OneNote
http://team.new - Teams
http://powerpoint.new - guess?
