Storm total from the rain, snow and ice event this week. A few got just the right amount - others too much of too little. . #kswx

Much above average rainfall in the south this week. Unfortunately, it came all at once and much ran off. Those heavy rains aren't overly common this late in the year. #kswx

Despite run off, it will have a big positive impact on drought. 30 day precipitation anomalies have swing positive for the south, likely eliminating the recent flash drought. Further north...sorry...

Obviously, substantial improvement in soil moisture for the south as well. Interesting to note lower values at Woodson and Sedan. May of been a result of snow and ice cover increasing runoff compared to other areas.
