Cocu here. Sat down on the zoom call as the press were chatting about their favourite pies and other nonsense.

He had a nice evening for his birthday (YES WE'LL GET TO THE SERIOUS STUFF)
PC: "The positive is we created more opportunities and got into positions. We've had two games where we've scored the first goal but if you get a second on it's likely it kills the game. In football it's always possible that an opponent creates a few chances."
PC: "Now with the type of player we have available - Kamil, Tom, Waggy - they're natural players at that position (forwards). When you receive the ball you have a limited time to make a decision and they give us a piece of creativity and it's difficult for opponents to mark."
PC: "Colin is getting fitter. Jordon is getting closer but still needs a little bit more [time]."
Cocu says Kamil is "doing quite well" he'll miss tomorrow's game.

says he'll be fit for Wednesday barring setbacks

"We feared he'd be out for a long period of time but it's a relief."
Rooney trained today. He "made a real good impression and looks fit."
Sounds like Cocu will still roll with the 3-4-3 even with Rooney in the side.
Cocu praising Curtis Davies' professionalism and leadership: "He's got experience and he knows what the team needs. He has a lot to give to the team. He's playing now like we know he can."
Cocu on good performances not getting wins: "I'm pretty confident (we'll get a win). We just have to keep putting in the energy and belief from the last couple of games. We showed last season we can change the end product."
David Marshall trained today. Available for tomorrow.
Lee Buchanan is also fine. He trained and did some recovery. Described as a "minor issue".
It's "possible" that Ibe and Bielik will play for the U23s on Monday.
Bielik is "really close" to getting back in a gameday squad.
Cocu says Bielik is "available" for first team selection if they need him. They just wanna be delicate as he comes back to fitness.
Cocu says Max Bird has handled his recent spell on the bench "like a professional". Staff just wanted to give him a break after an intense period where he was a mainstay in the side.

Staff feel te Wierik is more comfortable in his environment now.
CKR has been a positive influence on the squad. They're working him back to full match sharpness and he'll be getting more than just minutes off the bench once he's there.
Wraps up the presser from Cocu.

Before anybody asks - the club declined to comment on the story about the potential takeover.
