#RuleofLaw breakdown in #Poland: Better late than never but to give 2 months to Polish gov betrays (again) an irresponsible lack of urgency

Compare to @TimmermansEU's action against law purging Sup Court: LFN on 2 July 2018; Reasoned opinion on 14 Aug; ECJ referral on 2 Oct 2018 https://twitter.com/dreynders/status/1322141703298519040
& yet no sign of COMM asking ECJ to impose a daily payment against Polish authorities for flagrantly violating ECJ order of 8 April 2020: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3683683

Or COMM initiating legal action re "decision" by illegal "disciplinary chamber" *VOIDING* ECJ AK ruling last month
Update following excellent Q by @TomaszBielecki

Re violation of ECJ order, COMM:
- has "serious concerns"
- is "very concerned"
- will "seek clarification"
- will take "swift action" "if necessary"

Re voiding of ECJ ruling: no comment
