I then told him I'll send it to my friend and she would send to him. He said 'okay'.
I was surprised he didn't push further but I didnât react, I was happy with it.

It was getting late so I went to meet the bride and asked if I could go because it was getting dark and as a newbie in the city, I needed to leave.
She said ok and I took my bag and was heading out . I saw this guy honking at me but I didn't answer, he then drove close to me

I got in and said thank youu and we exchanged names and got talking. 10 minutes later I got to my destination and he asked for my number again so I gave it to him .
Later that night, he called and asked if I wasn't too tired and all and we gisted till about 2am.

Two months later, he asked to meet my parents and I told him to slow down since we just met and we are not exclusive yet.

Funny part was I wasnât even at home, so he was going to go see my parents without me being there, I was freaking out .
Even though my parents were looking forward to me bringing a suitor ,I was so scared .

Luckily , I finished my plans in Abuja and I travelled a day before he came, which was after hinting my dad.

A year later , we picked a date for our introduction and he still had not asked me to marry him

On the day of the introduction, he said to see him before the programme and since it wasnât a big thing, I was able to leave the house to see him .

There and then ,he asked me to marry him and it was the most beautiful thing ever, just me and him , no friends, no family just like I always hoped it will be.
We got married a year after and the rest as they say, is history.
Iâm glad to say that I married my best friend! And it's been a beautiful journey since then.
