We want to help more people with varied experiences, backgrounds and ideas to thrive as future public health leaders and do our bit to tackle the systematic injustices that make it harder for brilliant people to contribute as leaders. Will you help us? https://www.yorksandhumberdeanery.nhs.uk/recruitment/flp-2021-post-45
We have created a Leadership Fellow (a sort of 12 month development secondment) opportunity. These roles are a mixture of learning by doing (through undertaking a leadership project) and supported personal development in leadership
In our role the leadership project is to help the School of Public Health in Yorks&Humber to understand (and start to implement) what is needed to make our training programmes as diverse as the communities we serve.
That's the start of an email being sent today from the Yorks&Humber school of public health - I'm hoping to help it reach more people. If you know people who might be interested (read on for more info) or can suggest and put us in touch with networks to promote pls let me know
The practical stuff:
Closing date: 4pm Fri 13 Nov20
Interview date: 15/12/20
Eligibility: (full details in link) Drs in training and NHS Healthcare Professionals and Allied health Professionals AfC band 6 and above. Must not already have been in significant leadership role.
A bit of background / personal reflection on creating the post (in the spirit of trying to work out loud / in the open a bit more)...
A heads up - brevity not my strength - this next section is about 10-12 tweets
