Sometimes when you talk very honestly about marriage or being a parent people's responses are "Oh my days, that sounds horrible/scary. Ugh, I never wanna get married/have kids." and you can take it personally or you can consider that your job is done looool

You spoke in a way that challenged whatever fantasy they had in their head and that's what they are reacting to, not necessarily the reality of your life or you being honest or vulnerable.

Getting married relatively young, I found that very hard to deal with at first. People asking "how's married life?", you being honest and them almost recoiling like you've done something wrong for not having the Disney fairytale ending.

Saying all this, Twitter doesn't deserve your honesty or vulnerability. It's a horrible place full of judgemental people so share at your own risk lmao x
