My thoughts on world of S & C:
1. Coaches should be continually looking to engage with fellow coaches, learn from evidenced based case studies, chat informally, view practical examples for CPD
2. Coaches should have ability to learn and reflect from online resources from a variety of areas of the profession
3. Coaches should be looking to learn and reflect on their competency across multiple aspects of design and delivery of programmes to gain minimum competency for the safe and effective practise to clients of any population group
4. Coaches who engage in the process of reflection and development will obtain competency quicker but also are more likely to refine their processes from further engagement and as such evidence the ability to lead and mentor on a programme
5. All of the above are covered by @UKSCA more so than most other accrediting bodies in different industries also.
They are also a non-profit organisation unlike other fitness industry education providers.
The board are continually aiming to improve the professional standards
6. We do all this in a voluntary position with considerable impact on our personal lives.
For these reasons I feel comfortable to ignore all the negative thoughts from people who I don’t know why feel the need to not engage but furthermore question inappropriately.
