Thoughts on veganism:

Veganism is noble, but Ithink talagang kapitalismo ang kailangang bakahin ng vegans. Kaya mahal maging vegan dito kahit agricultural country tayo ay dahil ang konsepto natin ng veganism ay very western (and very bland!!!) and capitalist. Samantala...
...Reading Asian food history, na-perfect na ng Buddhists ang vegetarian diet for centuries. If you leaf thru Chinese and Indian cookbooks, there are a lot of amazing veggie dishes, unlike yung alam nating white vegan recipes na muntanga. Partida, Buddhist monks are mendicants.
I'm slowly transitioning to veganism, tho I'm still very much addicted to dairy. Local vegans should introduce vegan diet to Filipinos through an Asian cultural mindset. Ansarap kaya ng vegan kare-kare, vegan curry, vegan rice pilaf, vegan Asian anything. Fuck your salads!
Like, consider a Taiwanese-style dish of pan-fried tofu simmered in soy sauce with sesame oil and seeds, peppercorns, scallions, and button and shiitake mushrooms for umami. Sounds tasty? Yun dapat ang pang-introduce.

Kaso stupid Western vegans prefer fake-fried chicken.
Anyway, whatever. Y'all need to learn to eat your vegetables, even and most especially ampalaya. Sautee it in soy sauce, garlic, pepper, a teaspoon of sugar, and minced tomatoes. Baka kaya lang kayo hindi kumakain ng ampalaya kasi hindi marunong magluto sa household niyo.
