1/ Good review of @NAChristakis& #39;s new book on the pandemic, "Apollo& #39;s Arrow", from someone I& #39;d normally not bother with: Niall Ferguson. I have some comments. #Echobox=1603904657">https://www.the-tls.co.uk/articles/apollos-arrow-nicholas-christakis-book-review/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter #Echobox=1603904657">https://www.the-tls.co.uk/articles/...
2/ Niall Ferguson writes the below. He& #39;s right; I myself tried seeing if there were strong tendencies among countries doing very well or very badly against #COVID19, & came to the conclusion no genuinely strong tendency manifests itself. But he& #39;s a tad wrong on comparisons....
3/ Where Niall Ferguson goes wrong is in his comparison of the USA (a huge, widely sprawling country) to European countries. NY, NJ and CT states in the US rival or surpass the worst (Italy, Spain, the UK, Belgium) in Europe.
