aeri was born in the chinese year of the dragon! (...1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024 so on) she was born on 30 october 2000 which makes her 20 years old today!

she trained for less than a year in SM Entertainment!??! she’s literally a legend

her birth name is aeri uchinaga, うちながえり/우치나가에리 — pronounced eri/eli oo-chee-naga. her stage name is giselle (지젤 in korean)

she attended the same school as Rima from NiziU (japanese gg under jyp, check them out! their debut’s 2 dec)

she’s either japanese or half japanese half korean! this makes aespa a pretty diverse group

she was in choir!! she was an alto member (choir is separated into alto & soprano — alto: low, sop: high)
