This is beyond disingenuous.

I would love to see schools safely reopen. My kids are struggling. All kids out of school are struggling.

You're not following science, you're out here tweeting op-eds whose actual advice you are ignoring. https://twitter.com/BetsyDeVosED/status/1321913515171610629
What are some of the policy arguments in these articles?

Schools should reopen with everyone masked.

(The President's actions undermine this daily)

Schools should reopen with more testing.

(The White House opposes screening kids)
Schools should reopen with significant adaptation to reduce in-school exposure.

(Your department has led no meaningful national effort make this happen)

Schools should reopen with enhanced ventilation

(Is there DoE guidance on this? Not according to a search of your website)
School reopening should be prioritized ahead of other businesses and activities - last to close, first to open.

(White House policy is to open everything now, even if that poses greater risk to schools)
The federal government should be collecting comprehensive data on school reopening conditions and the impact on community transmission.

(Many of the links you cited are trying to fill that gap, precisely because you *aren't* collecting that data.)
If you were serious about getting schools open safely - and I wish you were - you know what would be more useful than some tweets dunking on teacher's unions?

A plan.

An actual plan.

I looked for one on your website.
Want schools to open, like the rest of us do? Do your job. Don't just tweet other people's op-eds and other people's data. Follow their advice. Do your homework. Put together a plan.

Til then, this is nothing but theater.
