... setting up regional headquarters. The process of securing a visa and the complicated requirement to open up bank accounts will make it difficult for foreign correspondents to fulfill some of the most basic requirements of moving to #Taiwan.
Also, from some direct experience, the process for foreign companies to set up shops in #Taiwan can also be frustrating, as the bureaucracy remains a huge obstacle for foreign companies to be directed to the right ministry that can help to complete the registration process.
The factors above are all real-life problems that international news organizations or foreign correspondents could run into. There are of course some advantages that #Taiwan can offer as well, including a robust democratic system and very reliable public transportation system.
#Taiwan's healthcare system is also affordable and excellent in terms of the overall quality of its service. Life in general is extremely affordable and it is one of the safest and convenient countries in Asia.
