1)OMG @wizkidayo is saying a lot in this album...As an artist my mind is just interpreting every bit of this art wiz dropped..This album is celebrating the success that is his new life and the journey so far...how his life has changed so much but he remembers he was #MadeinLagos
2) that’s why there’s no “Lagos” or ghetto vibes or gbas gobs in the songs...he has transitioned into a new happy place now where he’s at peace to enjoy, love.sweet melodies and forget life growing up on Surulere....accepted his new reality ... letting go of the past @wizkidayo
3) #MadeinLagos is a celebration of self-actualisation ...thanking God for favour ...his experiences of life both good and bad .. “stress free” “smile””ginger” “blessed” ... all positive themed... sound like he chose to focus on expressing himself naturally as an artist
4) and this is a very rurally path which is why most musicians go for what type of song they can sell to their target audience ...100% free expression as an artist can be risky because people usually don’t like musicians to grow or transition ....
5) @wizkidayo is encouraging Africans and beyond to explore new types of sound and vibes .....
so all the gbas gobs loving people are calming down to the vibes ....
he might be trying to use his position to diversify African music taste.
