How many years do you feel like you’ve aged in the last four?

Four score and seven years ago it was 11/9. A very dark day full of confusion and sadness and anger.

I’ll never forget the day in December 2016, 100 years ago, when I heard the news about the Rosneft deal between Russia, Qatar, China, and various known and unknown entities.
You just knew something very shady was going on.

And then my gaaad, that long ago Inauguration Day. Horrible.

But then the women’s march the very next day completely took me by surprise and gave me such hope!!!!!!! I was just a baby then.

10 years later, or late January, Bannon tried to put himself on the NSC and there was that night that the Muslim ban went into affect and Sally Yates was fired and we were all up late into the night watching the developments, incredulous. Child’s play, now.

Ever since then, things have gotten worse and worse and worse and worse and worse. And worse. There has been no bottom and there has been no relief from the hate, the horror, and the treason.

Well, flipping Congress way back in 2018 when we were young was epic, and the Mueller investigation was great for a very long while, until Barr killed it.

And now, after decades of suffering, we are finally less than a week from the day this nation can stand up for itself and declare once and for all that this illegitimate presidency is dead.

I only wish that everyone could live to enjoy our retirement from this 100 years of trump fascism.
But, pandemic.

If we do this, if we beat him, and elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the days between Election Day and January 20th could be some of our darkest years yet. Because fascists don’t give up power easily.

But if we do manage to do this, throw off this mantle of fascism, we do have brighter days, months, and years to look forward to, much brighter.
And maybe someday, less than decades from now, we can finally fricking have a woman president!
