I’m a big fan of Kroeger’s work on the Ramsey Co. Hist. Soc. archive. Tonight I noticed a few of his night shots feature reflecting, wet pavement. Was that a photography tactic? Smart!

Perhaps he lived in Sioux Falls for a time.

Another Kroeger from the Ramsey Co. archive. I’m not a photography expert by any stretch, but to me this guy had a way with light.

Kroeger also seemed particularly conscious of interior compositions involving vectors of ceiling lights.

Kroeger seems to have specialized somewhat in taking fully lit interior shots with no one around, after hours presumably, lending a quiet beauty to the surroundings.
