This is your reminder that as a disabled person it’s ok to spend money on things that are necessary for you, even if abled people (or other disabled people!) view them as indulgent or luxurious.

Your needs matter. You deserve to meet them in whatever way *you* (& only you) need
I spent my PIP back pay on a whole suite of Apple products to make my life actually work. I’m spending my redundancy on a fancy adjustable bed with a rising TV in the footboard. I used to spend money on taxis and takeaways before I became housebound & got a PA. Do what you need.
Side note: the cost of being disabled in general IS expensive and it’s appalling that we are often economically at a disadvantage. This isn’t about saying all disabled people are able to buy the things they need. Capitalism SUCKS. But if you can, and it helps, do it without guilt
