. @RachelBitecofer of @LincolnProject just called me a "leftist" & "fear mongerer" based on an article I posted re: Karl Rove & a GOP whisteleblower. First, the article is from 2012, not 2020, as Rachel mistakenly assumed. Second, I confirmed w/ whistleblower's husband. 1/
2/ This is the post Rachel takes issue with. You can believe or not believe the whistleblower, Jill Simpson, but this is what she said.
3/ To be sure, given my knowledge of @DonSiegelman's race in 2002, I'm likely biased to believe what the whistleblower said. 5/ To be clear, I don't know if Rove really said this. But the whistleblower said that he did. And I am unwilling to take chances on this election by assuming Rove would never stoop so low. Please decide for yourselves if you feel this is a chance we can take. TY.
