With Gojo’s capture and the Shibuya Incident arc nearing its end, I wanted to discuss the future of the series & Gojo’s dream being majorly prevalent in the upcoming arc(s) + Gojo’s overall role in the story from here on out

Gojo has wanted to reset the Jujutsu world & remove the higher-ups’ power since the start of the series. He has a convo with Ijichi explaining his intent to reform the school/the minds of future sorcerers through mentorship & not outright force

Gojo explicitly states why he dislikes the higher ups and why they must be overthrown or made obsolete & powerless by using Yuji as an example of their mishandling of power

The two most prevalent students we know of targeted by the higher-ups under Gojo’s protection were Yuta Okkotsu & now Yuji Itadori. Without Gojo, many of us already believe Yuji will be targeted even harder than before

The people that will be able to protect Yuji if this occurs will be his friends/many other students who Gojo believes in. The two most mysterious and interesting of them being Hakari & Yuta. The two big questions are why is Yuta abroad, and how did Hakari get suspended

Gojo says he assigns his own missions to the students he believes in. Hakari could’ve definitely been suspended from something random & although this is a long shot, he also could’ve been suspended because he was helping Gojo with one of his ‘missions’

Hakari could’ve done something the higher ups disliked & that could be a reason why he’s in trouble. In Yuta’s case however, I think it is definitely because he is partaking in one of Gojo’s missions. We last see Yuta with Miguel abroad

Miguel is the mysterious foreigner who stalled Gojo while Geto tried to capture yuta’s cursed spirit. It should also be noted Miguel wanted to help Geto take down the Jujutsu college. Gojo is basically doing the same thing, only internally & with less overt force.

Gojo wanting to reform the school goes in line with Miguel also wanting to destroy it earlier in the prequel. They could be working together by combining their resources & information (Miguel’s country has powerful items that can disrupt even Gojo’s amazing abilities)

Gojo even comes back from his abroad trip during the Kyoto vs Tokyo event with souvenirs from a foreign country which hints at being Miguel’s country. This sets up Yuta to be a big reason why the higher ups get overthrown and/or the reason Yuji is saved, completing Gojo’s mission

I also believe Yuki will be making a reappearance soon since her & Gojo both have disdain for the higher ups. She also recruited Todo to become a sorcerer & Todo will also be a big reason Yuji is protected if he is targeted

As for Gojo’s future role in the series, I believe he has many things he still must do after he is released. Things like Gojo mentoring his students even more & fighting Sukuna are obvious. But Gojo definitely still has to speak to the real Geto again once he regains control

In their future encounter, I am sure we will finally find out what Gojo told Geto right before he passed. Gojo & Geto’s story is still intertwined in my eyes and will be a major reason some event is prevented (like the sorcerer in Geto’s body being stopped).
