Seeing a lot of chatter on covid transmission on here that is uh… loosing it's focus.

So let's all take a DEEP BREATH.

If you're feeling a little lost in this all, come with me on a short and hopefully reasonably clear journey on respiratory infection transmission basics.
2/ When we speak, sing, shout, breath, sneeze etc some of the stuff from inside our body (saliva, snot, lung gunk, air [technical terms]) gets flung outside of our body.

The little bits of these body gunk fly through the air-some onto an unlucky person, others float in the air.
3/ If we happen to be infected with a virus (sars-cov2, influenza) our little bits of body gunk can have the bacteria or virus hiding in the big drops which land on our friend (sorry!) and small drops that float around for a while.

Kinda like a ship in a bottle.
4/ Anyone who is near us and our gross infected body droplets may then get them into their body by:

1. Having them land directly their eye or mouth (yuck!)
2. Getting them on their hands and then touching their eye, mouth, or nose (icccck!)
3. Breathing them in from the air.
5/ That's pretty much it. That's how respiratory infections spread. That's the thread.
