The Inquirer has added an editor’s note about why they pulled the photos of the child. For transparency: now that the FOP’s lie has been exposed, I’m going to delete my initial tweet that shows his face for the same reason. https://twitter.com/ryanjreilly/status/1321861234468204550

The FOP's fake story is still spreading all over Facebook in an entirely predictable fashion.

One post says the child -- who, again, was grabbed out of the back of a SUV after Philadelphia police officers smashed the vehicle's windows and beat the driver -- "became lost."
They BEAT THIS KIDS MOTHER and ripped him from the back of her car, then used the kid for propaganda. Everyone involved in this should be deeply, deeply ashamed. https://twitter.com/ryanjreilly/status/1321869280951050240

She’s a young mother and a home healthcare aide, a notoriously underpaid profession. Just imagine how tough life already was for her in the middle of a pandemic, and then this happens. I’ve asked @AttorneyRoss if the family intends to set up a GoFundMe, will let you know.
Again, please subscribe to @PhillyInquirer. I was only able to help keep that lie from spreading further because I’d read their story and seen their images of the boy and later made the connection when the FOP posted their propaganda posts.
Now, every time I put my own shoeless toddler in his car seat, I’ll be reminded of the look of terror on that little boy’s face. https://twitter.com/ryanjreilly/status/1302286628178853892
Meanwhile, @OfficerDaniels is still promoting the photo to his 2.4M Facebook followers.
