I am Jewish and pro-Palestinian. I have also been a Labour voter all my life.

Corbyn was the leader of the Labour party and it was his duty to take the accusations of anti-semitism seriously, and to act immediately and decisively. On both counts, he failed.
2

Whatever Corbyn’s intentions - honourable or not - he allowed the issue to fester for far too long, and the Tory party and media were given a free rein to exploit the issue for years.
3

It doesn’t matter whether Corbyn is an anti-semite or not, his dithering sent a mixed message to the population that damaged the party’s standing and contributed to the Tory landslide in the last election.
4

Corbyn supporters must understand that had the accusation pertained to any other religious, cultural or racial minority, it would have been dealt with much more decisively.
5

Just compare the support given to abused MPs from other minorities to the abuse dished out by the party to the anti-semitism whistleblowers; abuse that is continuing today thanks to Corbyn’s current stance.
6

Diehard Corbyn supporters can say what they like, Jeremy did a disservice to the party, irrespective of the extent of the problem. Furthermore, rather than learn a lesson from the past, he is repeating the same mistake …
7

… and giving the Tories a big stick with which they can beat Labour all over again, and at a time when the party was beginning to emerge from a situation he was largely responsible for the first time around.
8

Corbyn could have done the right thing by the party and held his tongue, instead, he is going to drag this out, with absolutely no chance of making things better, and a very high probability that he will make things immeasurably worse.
9

Corbyn’s position today is undignified and harmful to a party he led just a few months ago. And once more, his actions are not the actions of a leader, they are the actions of a naive, principled misfit …
10

... qualities if you are a backbencher, but faults if you wish to unite a broad-church party. The truth is that Corbyn was never cut out to lead, he was destined to shout from the sidelines - and shout he will, even if it damages a party that has given him everything he owns.
