Absolutely fed up with this country. My existence is only political because a bunch of hateful individuals make it so, and a lot of the rest of you tolerate their nonsense.

I want to make this into a long and heartfelt thread to illustrate how my existence is a genuine and valuable but the fact of the matter is I don't have the energy. Even if I come up with an impassioned speech which you all retweet, what changes?

Until people in the so-called 'reasonable middle' accept that there is no 'trans debate' and stop thinking 'oh it's difficult' nothing changes. Labour have done NOTHING about Rosie Duffield. The Tories have done NOTHING about Nicholson/Doyle-Price. The BBC think we're a debate..

..and are absolutely riddled with people who literally are involved in the running of organisations which campaign against trans rights. They're ACTUALLY political and they do absolutely nothing about it. What do we do?

We can give you a million sob stories, hundreds of lives lost, ruined, lived apologetically or just never truly fulfilled - I can talk about sitting in the shower crying because someone's fucking 10yr old shouted abuse at me and their mum just laughed but it's just more trans...

...misery as currency. It gives the world another 'oh something must be done!' before some fuckwit broadsheet wanker farts out another column scaremongering about trans people recruiting kids and it all becomes 'oh its so difficult' again...

...I'm not political, I'm just an IT manager from Surrey who wants to kick a football about, go to the pub without worrying I'll get my head caved in and to occasionally be able to look in a mirror and feel something better than ennui. If that's 'difficult' we're all fucked
