magha and the wheel of fortune: a thread.
magha is the 10th nakshatra and corresponds to the number 1 when condensed numerically (which i will get into later). magha rules over the power to transcend/leave the body while the wheel of fortune rules over the grand scheme of life itself.
within the numbers 1-10 in both tarot and nakshatras, we see the start of the essence of life as it slowly adjusts to the material. unorthodoxy/personal beliefs of some sort start between 5 (the hierophant and mrigashira) and 6 (the lovers and ardra) where we are found somewhat-
straying away from what is considered structured to making our own choices after a breakthrough. the number 9 (the hermit and ashlesha) can be seen as the push towards the spiritual path where we go against the orthodoxy completely and try to experience things for ourselves. the-
wheel of fortune is where we put faith in the universe to give us what we deserve or need to transcend spiritually, physically, or mentally. it is the knowledge of purpose.
magha’s 10 condenses down to a 1, and magha’s lucky numbers are 1 and 7 which add up to an 8. this corresponds to the magician, the chariot, and if we’re looking at strictly the rider-waite, strength. the magician has the power to leave the body for creative purposes to channel-
creativity through the body, this manifests in magha through its ketu rulership. the chariot is seen as the merging of the unconscious and conscious, where we achieve our desires to the fullest with courage, this is seen through magha’s rulership over everything grand. and-
finally, strength. strength is the true middle way between the energies of the magician and the chariot, where courage and determination are embraced on a physical, mental, and spiritual level where we become one with everything.
the wheel of fortune is simply a summary of the energies we see leading up to the number 10 both nakshatra and tarot wise, this is where magha has risen and seeks to rise higher.
