“people need to be held accountable for their actions” is a statement that can and should coexist with the fact that not everyone has equal access to education and knowledge and public harassment campaigns are not the answer to every small mishap performed by a 14 year old
before you launch that sick harassment campaign, stop and ask yourself:

1) would i have done something similar at their age?
2) can this issue be resolved in private?
3) will hurting them greatly reduce the hurt they have dealt me?
4) will this make me happy, or just an asshole?
your feelings of hurt are valid. perpetuating the cycle of hurt is also valid. but acknowledge that what you are perpetuating is a cycle of hurt, and not some kind of weird philosophical conception of justice, because these things sure as hell aren’t the holy right hand of god
idk about you but as a child on the internet i reposted art, made homophobic jokes (thanks s*ngapore), accidentally ripped off my favorite writers (sorry songs), but a public harassment campaign wouldn’t have helped me learn, it would’ve pushed me back into that conservative fold
are public harassment campaigns payback? is ‘the public has the right to know what this person did to me’ equivalent to 500 ‘kill yourself’ messages on curiouscat? is this what we want today’s kids to learn? that for every small mistake you make you will be strung up to die?
