A deeply sexist anonymous question at a faculty convocation has me physically shaking.

It claimed men are under-represented, excluded, and sexually harrassed in my College and called for its "favoring of women" to end.

28.6% of our faculty are women, down from 35% in 2014.
Thanks to my Dean for assemblinging statistics to debunk the claim. And for caring enough about supporting diverse faculty to seek federal funding to improve the situation here.

But I am so upset that she had to take the question seriously, instead of dismissing it on its face.
I& #39;ve felt supported by my leadership here at LSU, but have keenly felt like I& #39;m in the minority among faculty members.

I can only imagine what the 1.3% of URM faculty in my department must feel.
