Sometimes I have to take a step back and remember that many of us are living through what is the most challenging, heartbreaking, stressful, and energy-depleting time of our lives. If you’re keeping your head above water, you’re doing great. If you’re not, you’re doing great.
It’s OK to not be OK right now. It’s OK if you don’t want to get up in the morning, or if you want to go to sleep at 6pm. Seasons are changing, there is a pandemic, our president is a domestic terrorist, and we’re literally all just trying to bay our bills and survive.
I’ve had to repeat this to myself multiple times. Like, why haven’t I really THRIVED at my current job? Why am I not motivated? Why do small things upset me? Then I remember where we are, how we got here, and how long we’ve been feeling this.
