I was enormously proud to work at the BBC in part because of its uncompromising inclusivity and values.

I am still proud whenever I hear the BBC logo at the start of one of my shows. It puts a lump in my throat.

But this, is a bridge too far.

You cannot expect people who work for you to hide their identities.

These are people in the creative industries. Expression is not just part but the core of the gig!

Pride and any other parade or protest is a necessity not a privilege.

I look forward to them immediately backing down from this next pride when half their presenters turn up anyway.

I’m so sorry LGBT colleagues. They’ve really let you down here.
