Daily admissions continue to increase exponentially. After a brief pause at 1000 a day, we saw 1,200 a day on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Obviously there is significant regional variation in both current admissions and current growth rate, which we discuss below. 2/4

Average COVID-19 deaths in English hospitals is now 150 a day, and it continuing to increase faster than hospital admissions.

Regionally, most are growing in the 40-50% range per week. The outliers are SE, which is accelerating rapidly, and the NW, which at 17% is lower, but has picked up again in the last couple of days. 4/4 END
