I've lived thru six elections, this will be my seventh. Every year it seems like ppl have the same exact conversations, the discourse never changes. We relive it every four years. So why don't we all agree yet that it doesn't matter who our president is, America needs to go.
Obviously in my little Twitter bubble most people will agree with this but whenever I step outside it just feels like I'm stuck in 2016 or 2012 or 2008 like it doesn't matter.
This is why I don't participate in any election discourse, not even all these "is voting worth it?" arguments that communists tend to get into with liberals because I feel so hopeless like it's gonna be like this til we die.
And then opening books and seeing that revolutionaries have been describing these same exact problems for a century now and knowing that absolutely nothing has changed is just... so unbelievably sad.
