have u ever held a baby mouse?
fed a cow, or stroked one
to stoke more cats and pet more doggos
have u ever played fetch with a turtle cuz I have and its awesome

have u ever fell in love?
to live until u fall in love again
or to live to continue to love
have u ever kissed someone? held someone, held someone close and heard their heartbeat?
have u ever loved someone, been IN LOVE with someone
and if u havent maybe live to love someone

otters hold their hands when sleeping in water, live to see it
bees sleep in flowers and hold each others feet, dont u want to see it?
to see a certain bird or lizard
to go to a country far away
escape in the forest in the woods in the dessert
dont u want to live and feel alive?

live to drink ur coffee tomorrow
to eat ur lunch tomorrow
to wait til Friday to eat ur favourite snack
to dread Monday and edit til saturday and just live
live for ur animals for ur family for urself, to water ur plants and cuddle ur plushies
to wave to the person at the corner

live to buy that dress u wanted for ages
live for that surgery for that relationship for that friendship for that tomorrow
live to hug ur bestfriend, live to kiss ur partner, live to own a chihuahua, live to own a cow, a cottage, a farm, a home

have u ever touched a crab? an octopus, have u ever eaten sushi? dumplings? fish and chips? have u ever gone skydiving
have u ever climbed a mountain
have u ever sat in the dark with a hot drink a blanket and looked at the stars
dont u want to see these wonderful things?

live to go to the thrift store u have never been to, live to Christmas, live to eid, live to easter, live til the chinese new year
live to experience the wonders of life

a woman had always wanted to grow an apple, but all she grew was oranges
because that's all she ever knew
she thought she would fail if she tried to grow an apple tree
but in the decision to avoid it completely, she avoided the joy, she lowered the chance itd ever happen to 0

when u water a garden, u grow the weeds as u grow the flowers
but if u dont water ur garden you lose both
if you die, ofc you miss the sadness
but you also miss the happiness
you miss pizza at 1am and going to disney land
u miss kisses and crying and love and hate
u miss it all

ik it's hard and it's going to be for a while, but everyday is another chance to water your garden and grow your roses, grow your apple tree, grow your future
the weeds are shit and unavoidable but you can always rip them out and ik its repetitive
but the apple tree is worth it

I believe in you
and whether ur motivation to live to tomorrow is a cup of coffee or to see the sunrise or to kiss a girl
its valid and beautiful and worth it
you deserve to see a tomorrow
and you deserve to be in a tomorrow
