In that email, a copy of which @JoshNBCNews obtained, @npompeo, the secretary's son, "also had an ask: Could he or the software company for which he was a sales executive be involved in a coming 'data hackathon' event the State Department was planning?"

Many of Susan Pompeo's emails are heavily redacted.

Including this one, with the subject line "5 Day Guest Schedule."

As @JoshNBCNews notes, @SecPompeo's wife frequently travels with him on overseas trips:

"This week, Susan Pompeo is tagging along as the secretary visits India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Maldives."

In another email @JoshNBCNews obtained, the wife of Greece's prime minister writes to Susan Pompeo, ahead of @SecPompeo's trip to Athens:

"Decision point: Would you like the Jewelry Museum, or the Art Museum..."
